Danger Zone: A Crystal for Protective Energy

This wild and dangerous week must be approached with caution.

For starters, Mercury squares Saturn today, and the vibe can be very fearful and sketchy if we don’t keep a handle on it. Communications can seem extra severe or ominous. There is even the possibility of feeling threatened, or maybe just triggered and sad. Perhaps talk on the phone instead of texting, if the topic is important.

Today, words are likely to be just that – hurtful, maybe, and hard to ignore or forgive, but still only words.

Tomorrow, however, Mars and Pluto conjoin in Capricorn, which can stir up some actual danger and the threat of violence, especially where it relates to old patterns of harm. Gearing up to the full moon in Scorpio on Sunday, this could be quite a ride. The full moon will offer us some opportunity for healing, but we should be extra mindful to do our part to avoid any abusive, violent, or domineering aspects that may arise during the Mars-Pluto conjunction.

We are liable to feel a bit childlike and defenseless, fearful, and open to harm. Now is an excellent time to nurture and protect our inner child with malachite.

MALACHITE

Often an early favorite of young crystal collectors, the dreamy, heart-soothing malachite has been associated with the protection of innocence for many generations. A relatively fragile stone, it is said to break under threat of danger, thereby protecting its bearer from harm.

When held or worn, malachite enhances a feeling of being held in a nurturing bubble of protective energy, which is exactly what many of us need this week.
