The Full Moon in Libra Calls for a Balanced Approach

The Full Moon in Libra Calls for a Balanced Approach

At 6:28 p.m. PST on March 20, 2019, the full moon will be in Libra.

Day and night. Good and evil. Up and down. Yin and yang. We may think of them as total opposites, but the truth is, you can’t have one without the other.

The same goes for the sun and moon—especially at the full moon each month when their opposition in the sky mirrors the tension between seemingly opposite energies in our own lives. And with this full moon in Libra, we’re even more keenly aware of our own contradictions.

Fortunately, though, we’re also more willing to embrace them. That’s because, as the sign of the scales, Libra is always seeking balance. And more often than not, that means finding the middle ground.

After all, most things in life aren’t all black and white—and Libra helps us to see the shades of gray.

What Does the Full Moon in Libra Mean?

Still, sometimes we do need to pick a side…and at this full moon, that’s no easy task. Fortunately, if we’re taking too long to make up our minds about something, the decisive Aries sun is there to hurry us along. When in doubt, go with your gut and do what feels right!

That doesn’t only mean what’s right for you, however. With this full moon in the sign of relationships, we’re asked to balance other people’s feelings, wants, and needs with our own—after all, it’s only fair.

What do the stars have in store for you this year?

Libra is very big on fairness, both in our personal relationships and in society at large. So, it’s no surprise that this full moon shines a light on any imbalances or injustices that need to be addressed. Strong emotions can get stirred up—but with Libra’s emphasis on people-pleasing, we may be scared to make any waves.

Fair enough—this full moon probably isn’t the best time to go looking for a fight. Still, with Libra’s gifts of communication, cooperation, and compromise on our side, a little controversy may be nothing to fear.

Horoscopes for the March 2019 Full Moon in Libra

Libra

Everyone’s got an agenda, Libra—and right now, they all seem to be at odds. Fortunately, your loved ones have you to play referee. Unfortunately, this may be the rare situation where it’s impossible for you to stay neutral. At this full moon, don’t be afraid to throw your own hat in the ring!

Scorpio

All or nothing, Scorpio—as far as you’re concerned, nothing less will do. But constantly pushing yourself to the limit has its own limitations. Without taking time to recharge, it’s just a matter of time before you burn yourself out. This full moon reminds you of the need to balance work with rest, and action with reflection.

Sagittarius

Do your thing, Sag! You love being free to follow your own muse, whether or not anyone else is inspired to come along.  Still, sometimes it’s just more fun to go along with the crowd and be where the action is. At this full moon, don’t let fears of being basic keep you from having a good time!

Capricorn

Business is business, Capricorn. And you’re in it to win it—not to win any popularity contests. Still, the “every man for himself” approach isn’t always a recipe for success. As counterintuitive as it may seem, working together often makes more strategic sense. This full moon challenges you to see your competitors as possible collaborators.

Aquarius

Once you’ve made up your mind about something, Aquarius, there’s no going back—which makes it even more important to take your time and think things through. This full moon may present a moral/ethical dilemma that puts your judgment to the test. Fortunately, it also provides the balanced perspective that you’ll need to make an informed choice.

Pisces

Share the love, Pisces! With so much to give, it’s a shame to keep it all to yourself. Still, there’s no shame in being selective about whom you share it with. Not everyone you meet is equally deserving of your energy and time. At this full moon, save your best for those who have something to offer you.

Aries

Who are you, Aries? That’s what you’re on a mission to find out! But looking at life as your own personal hero’s journey can make you overlook one of its greatest lessons. This full moon challenges you to recognize and relate to others—not just as supporting characters, but as the protagonists of their own adventures.

Taurus

Kindness is its own reward, Taurus—but that doesn’t necessarily mean there’s nothing in it for you. By your calculations, helping someone out at this full moon means having favors to cash in later. Still, if you’re expecting something in return for your good deeds, let them know up front that that’s part of the deal.

Gemini

You make it look so easy, Gemini. But networking is a subtle art—and you put a lot of energy and thought into getting the nuances just right. After all, it’s a fine line between suave social graces and shameless self-promotion. Fortunately, though, this full moon assists you in striking that ever-elusive balance!

Cancer

Family first, Cancer. No matter how much you’ve got on your plate, there’s no question where your priorities lie. But life can get pretty hectic at times—and when it does, quality time is often the first thing to go. If that’s been the case at your house, this full moon challenges you to correct the work/life balance.

Leo

With a beautiful mind like yours, Leo, you’ve got good reason to be proud. But no matter how brilliant your ideas are, there’s always going to be someone who sees things differently. Try not to take it personally—at this full moon, there’s room for more than one point of view.

Virgo

Beauty, truth, goodness. For you, Virgo, the best things in life really are free. But with the pressing concerns of day-to-day life, it’s easy to get preoccupied and lose sight of what matters most. This full moon provides a gentle wake-up call and brings you back into alignment with your deepest values.
