January 13: Stressful Circumstances

January 4, 2021

Mars is square Saturn at 3:02 a.m.
The moon enters Aquarius at 8:44 a.m., and moon void of course ends
In the early morning hours, Mars in Taurus forms a tense square to Saturn in Aquarius, provoking stress and frustration. At this time, our desire to work at our own pace conflicts with responsibilities to our superiors and community. Others’ expectations create a disconnect in our own energetic processes, drives, and sense of timing.
Although this transit is uncomfortable, we should lean into Taurean Mars virtues of persistence and tenacity. We cannot escape our obligations by running away or distracting ourselves. We can, however, resolve to make changes or adjust our model of participation on another day under less tense circumstances. In the meantime, keep your eyes on the prize.
Come daybreak, the moon enters Aquarius, offering objectivity and helping us see our struggles in a different light. This influence aids us in finding solutions to edgy encounters with bosses, a reminder that while limitations abound, it is how we react to them which can tip conditions into or out of our favor.

The moon is conjunct Saturn at 2:11 p.m.
The moon is square Mars at 2:30 p.m.
The moon aligns with Saturn in Aquarius in the afternoon, signifying one of two things: either the Mars-Saturn square has got the best of us and we have alienated others with our attitude, or we have opted to use the day for deliberate isolation. In the domain of humanitarian Aquarius, moon-Saturn is less lonesome, as we are curious as to how best exercise our personal authority and autonomy. What we do now is in the name of cultivating emotional maturity, and we might do this more responsibly if we’re flying solo and don’t have the distracting voices of others in our heads.
The moon then squares off with Mars in Taurus, inciting passive-aggressive behavior. If we are crossed or pulled away from our work, we could interpret this as a threat to our progress and react spitefully. We’re better off creating distance than to attempt cooperation and risk impulsive and unkind behavior.

Venus is trine Uranus retrograde at 4:22 p.m.
Before nightfall, Venus forms a trine to Uranus retrograde in Taurus, encouraging a new approach in romance. Uranus suggests that small shakeups within relationship dynamics infuse excitement into otherwise ordinary circumstances. A degree of uncertainty makes us value others more, as sometimes we cannot see which friends and lovers are proper companions until a situation has tested the strength of the bond. This influence helps us determine how to continually evolve alongside those we love.

The moon is conjunct Jupiter at 6:55 p.m.
The moon then aligns with Jupiter in Aquarius, ending the day on an optimistic note. We are less judgmental after passing through the afternoon’s trials, with a greater understanding of when boundaries are beneficial and when they create disharmony. With amplified Aquarian sight, we embrace different points of view and can talk through our difficulties.
