Quarter Moon in Aries: The Fire Within

Today we have a first quarter moon in Aries in a trine with Mercury in Sagittarius.  A first quarter moon is when we start to manifest the things we’ve been dreaming of, and Aries is the best kind of instigator, so that’s a great energetic match.  Then we have chatty, intellectual Mercury in truth-telling, freedom-loving Sagittarius. This means it is a perfect moment to fire up your ability to be a Creator in the truest sense of the word.  Here’s a meditation that helps us tune into a new vision for our own perfect self-expression.

Find a quiet space and make yourself comfortable. Take one slow, deep breath to reconnect to your own magic.  Then dive all the way into this vision and see what happens.

Take three nice, long deep breaths and just arrive wherever you are.

As you continue to breathe, gently begin to draw your attention down from the area of your head and down into the area of your heart. Sense or imagine a beautiful, flickering flame shining bright within your heart. Spend a few cycles of breath just watching that flame get brighter and more beautiful with every breath you take.

Now you are all lit up.  Pay attention to what it feels like to have this kind of beautiful, electric, firelight radiating from you. Feel this firelight burning away any blockages that keep you from seeing your own truth. Feel how its light is repellent to any negativity.  Feel how it is bringing you into a very clear state, so right now you are your most wise, creative, intuitive self.  Feel also how the firelight is connecting you to the electric, cosmic, lit-up energy of the Infinite.

Now in your mind’s eye, in your imagination see yourself sitting around a bonfire with THREE animal guides.

Keep the first three animals that show up, don’t let your ego change them, they are perfect.

And they can talk. And so can you.

All this firelight is connecting your hearts in the deepest way so it is easy to communicate with these special creatures. Trust what they say. It’s ok if the conversation is weird or funny or strange. It is perfect, a goldmine of wisdom and meaningful magic.

Start a deep fireside conversation with them. Ask them each what they have to teach you about your perfect self-expression. Let them tell you where you can shine your light brighter.

Stay here with them, be the student, let yourself be surprised.
