This Week’s Sports Predictions: August 8–14, 2022

August 5, 2022

Welcome to Sports Astrology Predictions where we take a look at the astrology of competition in a bid to predict who will come out on top!

All sport is ruled by the planet Mars.  The position and condition of this protective, combative planet has a significant baseline influence on the outcome of all competition.

This week, Mars moves from his fiery home sign of Aries into the foreign territory of earthy and bullish Taurus. This “changing of the guards” will create a fluctuating and unstable energy, especially under the cold light of the Full Moon on Thursday evening when a disruptive and irritating Saturn joins the fray. This week, scores will be settled.

We begin this week’s predictions as the waxing moon rises on Tuesday evening with a baseball game between Philadelphia Phillies and Miami Marlins with the first innings at dusk. Then to Sunday lunchtime basketball for the end-of-season game between Phoenix Mercury and Chicago Sky, before early afternoon baseball between Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers. These weekend games promise to be exciting as Mars meets up with the most ruthless, creative and powerful fixed star in the night sky: Caput Algol (the “Head of Medusa”) where the price of victory is high, but then so are the rewards.

Game 1

MLB

Philadelphia Phillies -v- Miami Marlins

Tuesday, August 9 @ 7:05 p.m. – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Tuesday evening and to baseball in Philadelphia where home team Philadelphia Phillies meet up with the Miami Marlins. This is a tough game, especially on the home team, with high expectations to succeed.

Although, with energy levels on the low side, they may have to dig deeper than they thought, if they want to win. But with the formidable Taurean Zack Wheeler hitting the target with “bulls-eye” precision, the Phillies are a force to be reckoned with. The Marlins however, are quirky and versatile and may very well “psyche out” their opponents, possibly causing error or penalties in their favor.

And, with the reliable weapon of pitcher Leo moon Braxton Garrett and star Leo sun Sandy Alcantara in the mix, there is a very good chance that the slippery Marlins will finish on top. Marlins to win a tricky game.

Game 2

WNBA

Phoenix Mercury -v- Chicago Sky

Sunday, August 14 @ noon – Phoenix, Arizona

Sunday at noon in Phoenix and to a basketball game where home team Phoenix Mercury invite Chicago Sky onto their court. Here we see a ruthless and creative Algol-flavoured Mars coming up with some impressive and unexpected moves, especially from Sky players like trail-blazing Capricorn sun, Courtney Vandersloot, who has her Taurean Jupiter feeding the extreme Algol energy. A big deal!

And then there is her teammate, the young Capricorn moon Emma Meesseman, who should make quite an impression on the day. But home team Phoenix Mercury have veteran player Taurean sun, Diana Taurasi (Taurus Taurasi no less!) and her age-defying Capricorn moon there to get the job done.

Alongside her, the unstoppable Cancerian Skylar Diggins-Smith. With her poker-faced Scorpio moon, Skylar will surprise and delight with her sleight-of-hand. Mercury for a home-town win.

Game 3

MLB

Chicago White Sox -v- Detroit Tigers

Sunday, August 14 @ 1:10 p.m. – Chicago, Illinois.

Sunday afternoon in Chicago and to baseball where home team Chicago White Sox invite the very feisty Detroit Tigers onto their turf. Expect some highly charged and powerful play between these opponents. Algol-infused Mars will guarantee that there is some ruthless play, especially from the Tigers.

With Tarik Skubal and his Scorpio sun ready for close-range combat, this team represents a major threat and must be treated with respect. But, it appears that the White Sox will salute the crowd with some highly entertaining innings and find luck with some mighty big batting, especially with the addition of all-rounder, Cancerian Luis Roberts. Big on technique, his finely-tuned instincts and super-fast reflexes will be to the delight of a roaring crowd. White Sox for a thrilling win.

And that’s a wrap for this week in Sports Astrology Predictions. Until next time!
