Success comes from choosing, not chasing.
2027 can be an easier year for Rat than 2026 was. That said, Rat and Goat tend to thrive in very different environments, so Rat may find itself navigating unfamiliar circumstances. Rat wants to move quickly, grab what it wants, and return to the nest. Goat moves more slowly, assessing the terrain, finding secure footing, and then proceeding. Rat wants to meet everyone because anyone could be interesting or useful. Goat prefers familiar people and even then, may take time to trust them. Deep down, though, both Rat and Goat are survivors. They simply survive in different ways.
When you think of the 12-year cycle like a year on the farm, Rat is in the second year of harvest time. Think of this as the middle of autumn. The harvest is still underway, which keeps you very busy. There is plenty to gather, but the easy pickings are gone. Now you need to get out the ladder and climb into the tree to continue the harvest. Harvest seasons bring both opportunity and responsibility. There is a lot to do, and you need to decide which opportunities are truly worth your time and effort.
Rat's natural element is Water, while 2027 is a Fire Goat year. Water extinguishes Fire, but Fire can also boil away Water. Rat could quickly use up energy and resources trying to battle every wildfire the year produces. Some of these fires may be exciting opportunities. Others may be challenges that can be solved. The key is choosing carefully where to invest your time and energy. Otherwise, there may be no water left for the fires that matter most. Overall, prosperity opportunities continue, but your challenge is not finding opportunities. It's deciding which ones deserve your attention. Your keyword for 2027 is: discernment.
