At 4:30 a.m.: Mercury is square Ceres
In the morning, Mercury squares off with Ceres in Capricorn, fostering communication conflicts. Either your words are taken out of context, or your advocacy for a cause leaves people feeling shunned or insulted. The asteroid Ceres is concerned with how we receive nurturance or nurture others. During its clash with impulsive, fast-talking Mercury in Aries, we might accidentally disregard another’s needs. We can jump on ideological bandwagons, failing to consider how our choices affect the people we love. Truly, this is less a mean-spirited influence than one where we simply aren’t paying attention. Regardless of whether you’re the insulter or the insulted, try to exercise patience. Call people in instead of calling them out. If you are called out, pause before planning a defensive retort. Listen to what others are saying and demonstrate accountability.

After sun-up, the moon aligns with Venus in Taurus, helping to ease the contentious cosmic weather. We don’t want to fight. We want to find a solution. As we’re oriented to peacemaking, we are more willing to hear people out if they express concerns. Others will also be more likely to forgive us for our shortcomings because we’re just that charming.
