Weekly Horoscope: August 31-September 6, 2020

September 2, 2020

The energy builds this week into a boundary-shattering full moon in Pisces, but not before a dynamic meeting between Mercury—the god of communication and the mind—and Pluto, lord of the underworld. With an element of added confidence we may not be used to, this connection is sure to bring some impactful words and ideas to your conversations.

Then, the energy turns mystical as the sun and the moon make their monthly opposition, raising the intensity of our emotions to the max! This full moon is making a loose conjunction to Neptune, which has us all feeling uncomfortably sensitive to others, while picking up on the faintest of subtleties. Our intuition is on high alert and our psychic senses will be on overdrive with this one, as Neptune likes to dissolve anything and everything it touches, adding a hazy, dreamlike quality to the way we perceive the world. Being pragmatic might prove to be difficult and keeping a level head, especially with such a charged feeling state, will be key. Keeping our feet firmly planted on the ground and maintaining our sovereignty will get us through this cloudy soup mid-week. It’s also a good time to up our immunity-boosting practices, as moon/Neptune aspects can make us more susceptible to illness.

We reach a collective climax mid-week when the planets decide to do the absolute most. The sun will make a trine to Uranus, giving us a jolt of sudden insight or wisdom around practical, earthly matters.

On Friday, Venus endures a challenging T-square with Mars and Saturn this week that might test our relationships or cause frustration/delays in financial matters. But things lighten up a bit when Venus enters Leo on Sunday, setting the stage for more drama, excitement, and passion in our relationships. Try carving some space out for “me time” and amp up your self-care rituals to pamper yourself after such an intense week.

Astrologer’s Note: Read the following for your rising/ascendant sign!

Aries (Mar. 21–Apr. 19)

This week’s full moon falls in your twelfth house, which flashes a giant spotlight into your subconscious realm. Uranus will make a trine to this ominous lunation, bringing a flash of insight so clear you can’t ignore it. Make sure you take some time to yourself and journal about what any sudden intuitive hits that come through.

With the sun currently traversing your sixth house of work, health, and daily routines, this might mean switching something up about how you structure your day. On the same day, Venus in your fourth house of home sits across Saturn in your tenth house of career, asking you to make peace with any delays or limitations you’re experiencing in these areas.

Have you been all work and no play lately? That might change as Venus moves into your fifth house of romance, creativity, and self-expression on Sunday, making FUN more of a priority.

Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)

On Tuesday, communicative Mercury makes a trine to Pluto, nudging you to passionately express your beliefs/ideals, which have undergone a pretty radical transformation since April.

The full moon that same night illuminates your eleventh house of friend groups and social circles, asking you to release any connections that are draining or taxing. You’re about as reliable as they come, so if any of your friends, lovers, or acquaintances feel like they’re taking more than you’re receiving, it might be time to pull the plug.

On Friday, your ruling planet Venus forms a square with Mars, which might send you over the edge about a truth you’ve kept hidden. Biting your tongue will prove to be very difficult! Venus moves into your fourth house of home and family on Sunday, which will have you feeling like even more of a homebody for the next month.

Gemini (May 21–June 20)

Early this week, your ruling planet Mercury meets up with powerful Pluto, lending an added weight to your words. You might feel empowered to have a discussion with a family member, just keep in mind that with this aspect, whatever you say will impact the other person greatly.

On Tuesday, the Pisces full moon lights up your career sector, revealing or dissolving what needs to be let go of in terms of how you show up in the world. There’s no more hiding who you really are. You’re seeing that the mask your ego loves to wear provides a false sense of security. Put the real you out there and share what is really going on inside of you.

On Friday, Mercury in your fourth house of home gets a boost from Venus in your second house of finances. Consider moving forward on any home decor projects you’ve had in mind, whether it’s buying some new furniture or doing a cute DIY project.

Cancer (June 21–July 22)

Big perspective shifts relating to your life purpose are happening for you with this week’s full moon in your ninth house. This lunation brings a completion of a major project and wants you to release any limitations that don’t make you feel expansive.

At the same time, a T-square activates the most sensitive parts of your chart, intensifying a decision around a partnership, most likely having to do with your work life or career. Action will be required from you, so connect with your spirit guides under this moon about your next moves and make sure you are remembering your worth. Virgo season brings lots of movement and busyness for you. You’ll be making plenty of connections and socializing all month.

On Sunday, Venus enters your second house of finances and what we value, boosting your income or sense of self-worth for the next month.

Leo (July 23–Aug. 22)

I know, it’s a huge bummer that Leo season is over, but the good news is that later this week Venus activates your first house, bringing all the attention back on you! Before that though, you’ve got a climactic week ahead of you.

The full moon happening in your eighth house on Tuesday also indicates a completion or ending in terms of your financial dealings. Whether that’s paying off a debt, making an investment, or just assessing the resources that are available to you, you’ve got your mind on your money and your money on your mind. No matter what, make sure you’re not selling yourself short and that you’re staying true to your beliefs.

On Wednesday, the sun in your second house forms a trine with Uranus in your tenth house, which could bring unexpected financial gains or losses or a sudden intuitive hit about something you value.

Virgo (Aug. 23–Sept. 22)

Your self-expression gets a powerful upgrade as your planetary ruler Mercury, makes a trine to Pluto early on in the week. Say it with your chest and don’t hold back, but just know that your words will carry a weight to them.

On Tuesday, the full moon shines a spotlight on your relationship sector, bringing possible dissolutions or endings in this area. You are ready to let go and it was a long time coming, as the fantasy has been fading since mid-June when Neptune stationed retrograde.

The Venus/Mars/Saturn T-square activates your eight house, intensifying issues around your shared resources. It will require a level of trust and intimacy you may or may not be ready for. It’s make-or-break now and something’s gotta give. Ask for support from your trusted friends/community on Saturday when Mercury and Venus make a harmonious sextile. This is a great opportunity to receive an honest reflection from someone whose opinion you respect.

On Sunday, Venus, the planet of love and money moves into your twelfth house of all things hidden, making you more prone to keeping secrets and preferring to keep things behind the scenes for now.

Libra (Sept. 23–Oct. 22)

Alone time will be crucial as there is a lot happening for you on the subconscious/spiritual level, sweet Libra! Early this week, there’s a powerful realization that emerges from deep within your core.

The intensity builds this week with the full moon activating your health and wellness sector. Something about your daily routines or habits needs to be shifted or released. Whatever isn’t supporting your absolute wellbeing needs to go! Write it down and burn it up under this lunation.

The sun is illuminating your twelfth house of hidden realms, bringing more awareness around a family pattern that is asking for your attention. Uranus sends a jolt of wisdom about something you’ve inherited from your ancestral line that maybe you don’t want to carry with you anymore. Whatever it is, take a break from crushing it at work to tend to your home and family matters. There will be delays at work anyway, so just have patience as you navigate all the pressure you’re feeling.

Venus enters your eleventh house of friends and social networks on Sunday. After the week you’ve had, you’re going to want to connect with some friends soon!

Scorpio (Oct. 23–Nov. 21)

With the sun now in Virgo, your eleventh house of friendship is being lit up and this week brings an intense conversation with someone in your social network. Ultimately, you will get your point across effectively and feel confident in what you’re saying.

On Tuesday, the full moon activates your fifth house of fun and flirtatious flings, allowing you to come to a conclusion about ending whatever stifles your creativity. The astrology this week asks you to take necessary action in a relationship and making a decision—otherwise risking further frustration down the line. You won’t have time for the BS next week anyway, as Venus enters your tenth house of career, bringing blessings and good fortune to your public-facing self.

New perspectives in all your relationships inspire you to make a change in your daily habits and routines as the Venus/Mars/Saturn T-Square stimulates enough tension to warrant some kind of change. The focal point of this T-square is Mars, your ruling planet, so there is extra emphasis on how this will affect your day-to-day as it currently transits your sixth house.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22–Dec. 21)

You’re extra sensitive this week leading up to the full moon and emotions are on high in all areas of your life. On Tuesday, expect there to be a conversation around finances, asking for a raise, or charging what you’re worth. Mercury trine Pluto will give you the confidence you need to go for it.

Tuesday’s full moon pulls your focus into your home and family matters. Defining what brings you a true sense of security in this area is of the utmost importance. Keep in mind that there might be some delays or blocks around receiving money, but keep your cool when talking about anything finance-related because there is a possibility of losing your cool and exploding if you let your frustrations get the best of you.

On Wednesday, Uranus brings a much clearer vision emphasizing what is and isn’t working for you when it comes to your career. You’re no stranger to blazing your own trail, brave Sag, and the path forward will be illuminated with crystal clarity.

On Thursday, there’s a strong desire for intimacy, so if you’re seeing someone, it’s possible that things will be taken to the next level.

Once Venus enters Leo on Sunday, a new story around relationships and matters of the heart begins, broadening your horizons and expanding possibilities in this area.

Capricorn (Dec. 22–Jan. 19)

Sharing some powerful ideas about your deeply held beliefs and your words will shape how others view you. People already know you’re a powerful AF, boss, but this week is all about expressing your philosophy in ways that are clear, insightful, and outside the box.

Leading up to the full moon, you are a busy bee (just how you like it), running important errands, and having important conversations. People are extra sensitive to your worldview and you are certainly making an impression, especially if you are teaching on more spiritual matters.

This week also brings irritating delays in your partnerships, stirring up a lot of impatience and frustration from deep within. Breathe and let it go, you can’t always control what others do (or don’t do!). Tension in your closest relationships—perhaps in your family or in your home— threatens to provoke you, but a new perspective arrives over the weekend.

On Sunday, Venus enters your eighth house, bringing blessings to your sex life, which will be a welcome way to blow off some steam!

Aquarius (Jan. 20–Feb. 18)

You’re receiving messages left and right this week, Aquarius! Powerful intuitive downloads come through leading up to this full moon, which will gain in strength leading up to this week’s enlightening lunation. Your psychic gifts are being activated this month, so pay attention to your dreams and what seems to come from within. Whatever your intuition is telling you is probably right.

On Tuesday, the full moon activates your second house of money and self-worth, inviting you to manage your resources more effectively and make wise investments. With all this clairvoyant energy coming through for you, don’t forget to stay fully grounded and rooted in reality, remembering all the material matters you need to take care of.

Venus enters Leo on Sunday, bringing a touch of positivity and a lot of sweetness to your committed partnerships. But you don’t have to be in a relationship to take advantage of this transit, you and your closest allies will be feeling the love. You’ll be inspired to be generous by sharing how much you care about the people closest to your heart.

Pisces (Feb. 19–Mar. 20)

Hello… Earth to Pisces! Are you still here?! This week has you fully in the astral realm as the full moon lands in your first house of self, making a loose connection with Neptune, the planet that dissolves all boundaries. Talk about big rebirth energy! Any old or outdated ideas about who you were are being dissipated along with this lunation.

In your relationships, make sure you are holding strong boundaries as there is quite an impactful conversation bound to happen between you and a close friend. Your partnerships will act as a critical reflection for who you are becoming, so just make sure you are seeing your people clearly. Remembering your worth and your own values will be key in navigating the drama happening on this week’s celestial stage.

At the end of the week, Venus enters your sixth house of work and wellness, bringing fresh energy into your approach to your health and how you show up for yourself on a daily basis. Set some intentions mid-week around maintaining a strong sense of self-worth when it comes to your interactions with others.
