Mark Your Calendar: August 2026’s Luckiest Days for Love and Money

Each month, we experience different and unique cosmic weather. When it comes to astrology, we can understand the energetic vibe of each month by watching not only transits—which are movements of the planets and luminaries—but also how all of the celestial objects in our skies are linking to one another. Overall Insight for August 2026 

First and foremost, I want to point out that we do not have any personal planetary retrogrades (Mercury, Venus, or Mars) in August 2026! This is excellent news because life should be getting “back to speed,” especially after a bumpy July 2026. Mercury, our trickster planet, is out of its post-shadow phase as of August 6, and we will not feel it slow down again until October 4.

However, we are approaching a very long shadow period for Venus retrograde, which won’t officially take place until October and November 2026, but our planet of love and beauty will start to slow down as early as August 31, 2026. This means in September, we could feel as if we’re starting to step into a “vortex of the past.”

The mighty sun, ruling our life force, will be in the kingdom of Leo until August 22, which will encourage us to embrace passion, romance, and expression. Once the sun moves into Virgo on August 22, we are feeling more focused on productivity, health, and our routines.

Lastly, of importance in the August overview, is that we are in the midst of “eclipse season” at this time. We will have a solar eclipse on August 12 in Leo, which will bring new beginnings and opportunities to us in the weeks ahead. This is a rather auspicious and sweet eclipse, and solar eclipses tend to be more “friendly.” We end the month with a lunar eclipse in Pisces on August 27, which will bring culminations, sudden news, breakthroughs, or breakdowns. Unfortunately, lunar eclipses tend to be a bit more emotional and overwhelming, and due to the alignment of the planets, this one is a bit more rocky, so I’d encourage you to lie low the entire week that surrounds it. Always remember that eclipses are three times more powerful than a regular new moon or full moon, and they also echo out for weeks before and after.
