This Week’s Sports Predictions: January 15– January 21, 2024

January 13, 2024

Welcome to Sports Astrology Predictions where we take a look at the astrology of competition in a bid to predict who will come out on top!

All sport is ruled by the planet Mars. The position and condition of this protective and combative planet have a significant baseline influence on the outcome of all competition.

This week, Mars aligns with the fixed star Nunki, situated in the vane of the Archer’s hand in the constellation Sagittarius. The frequency generated by this bright blue dwarf star is ambitious, courageous, and energetic, and although reserved, it fuels a passion for excitement and gain. And with Black Moon Lilith quivering with anticipation and adding a little spice to the occasion with a harmonious trine aspect, keep a look out for some wicked plans to unfold and some clever tricks to be revealed!

We begin this week’s predictions on Tuesday evening with a basketball game between the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings. Here, the gentle Pisces moon gets rocked by dark moon Lilith for a wicked game of catch-me-if-you-can. Then, on Thursday evening, ice hockey teams — the Los Angeles Kings and Nashville Predators — play under the zesty light of an Aries moon for a reckless, hot-blooded scuffle. Finally, later in the evening, two basketball teams — the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder — go head-to-head under the auspices of the energized Mars-fuelled moon for a fiendishly wild finale.

Game 1

NBA

Phoenix Suns -v- Sacramento Kings

Tuesday 16th January @ 7:00 pm – Phoenix, Arizona

On Tuesday evening at the Footprint Center, the Phoenix Suns invite the Sacramento Kings onto their court. With the growing light of the Pisces moon ready to slip beneath the radar, this will be a thriller, especially with the Kings’ dominating point guard, Capricorn Mars De’Aaron Fox and his attention-grabbing Leo moon in the spotlight. But it appears that it will be the Suns’ rock-solid power forward, Taurus moon/Jupiter combo Kevin Duran and his shape-shifting and shrewd retrograde Pisces Mars on high alert, who will be the one to cunningly hood-wink the opposition into error. Phoenix Suns to win.

Game 2

NHL

Los Angeles Kings -v- Nashville Predators

Thursday 18th January @ 6:30 pm – Los Angeles, California

On Thursday evening at the Crypto.com Arena, home team Los Angeles Kings welcome the Nashville Predators onto their rink. With the waxing Aries moon caught between Uranus and Jupiter, this will be an erratic and fickle battle, especially with the Predators’ penetrating left wing, Cancer sun/Mercury combo Filip Forsberg and his tricksy Gemini Mars playing hard to get. However, it appears that it will be the Kings’ cagey left wing, Cancer Mars Trevor Moore and his slick Pisces sun, who will be the one to slip and slide his way to victory. Los Angeles Kings to win.

Game 3

NBA

Utah Jazz -v- Oklahoma City Thunder

Thursday 18th January @ 7:00 pm – Salt Lake City, Utah

On Thursday evening at the Delta Center, home team Utah Jazz invite the Oklahoma City Thunder onto their turf. With the hectic Aries moon overseeing the action, this will be a ripper of a game, especially with the Thunder’s handy point guard, Gemini Mars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and his quirky Aquarius moon on the rampage. But it appears that it will be the Jazz’s silent-but-deadly left wing, Scorpio moon Lauri Markkanen and his dogged Taurus sun, who will dig deep and take the opposition to the cleaners. Utah Jazz to win.

And that’s a wrap for this week in Sports Astrology Predictions. Until next time!
