Weekly Horoscope: October 19, 2026 to October 25, 2026—An Intense Full Moon

October 16, 2026

Last week I gave a special spotlight to new moons and how they arrive every lunar cycle. When the sun and the moon meet, they kiss and open a new pathway to us. Yet, every lunar cycle we also have a full moon—when the sun and moon stand directly across the sky from one another. While new moons are never felt before they arrive, full moons are felt both before and after they appear. This means as we head into the weekend, the full moon will make itself known!

The Energy Profile Of This Week

Welcome to a week with many important factors—and yes, we will touch on all of them!

First and foremost, we enter Scorpio season as of October 23. In the month ahead, we are descending further into darkness in the Northern Hemisphere as we are in the center of autumn. Our nights are growing longer, the days slimming minute by minute. In Scorpio season, we must face our shadow selves and the truth in our darkness. To add further emphasis to these particular themes, Mercury, our planet of the mind, begins a retrograde on October 24, too. In recent weeks, we had Venus retrograde in Scorpio—giving us a taste of this karmic energy—and with Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, we will find ourselves slipping even more into the past and having to face the shadows. A similar cycle occurred eight years ago—in the autumn of 2018—so you may find patterns and themes of that time emerging once again. However, Venus will return to the skies of Libra as of October 25, bringing a greater focus to karmic partnerships of the past in the many weeks ahead.

Next to note will be the full moon in Taurus. This arrives officially on October 25, 2026, but will be felt many days before and echo into the following week. Any important lunation in Taurus calls the collective’s attention to the following themes: the economy, finances and income, possessions, worth and self-worth, value and self-value, as well as the physical world and environment. However, this is one of the most challenging lunations of the year, as it is exactly square Pluto—demanding significant transformations from us. This will likely bring hardship, roadblocks, or competition for us to face. The best thing to do at this time is honestly to lie low and not rock the boat or put yourself in the line of fire.

As for astrological weather this week, Venus squares Pluto on October 19, causing jealousy, manipulation, and power struggles in relationships—especially due to situations from the past. The sun will unite in a conjunction with Venus on October 23, though, which can bring clarity and a breakthrough around beauty, love, or relationships—once again in relation to the past. For instance, this would be a wonderful day to reunite with an old flame. If not that, consider rewatching a film you used to love or embracing a hobby you haven’t given much time to lately. You could enjoy it very much.

Key Astrological Aspects and Transits This Week

  • October 23 — Sun enters Scorpio
  • October 23 — Sun conjunct Venus
  • October 24 — Mercury retrograde in Scorpio (20 degrees)
  • October 25 — Full moon in Taurus (2 degrees)
  • October 25 — Venus retrograde re-enters Libra

ARIES (MARCH 21 – APRIL 19)

Another big week is here for you, Aries, and the full moon is grabbing you by the horns and telling you to address your finances. While there could be an influx, you may also find that an income stream is cut off, too. On another note, there appears to be a friend at this time who is jealous or making some rumbling in the shadows that irks you.

TAURUS (APRIL 20 – MAY 20)

The most important full moon of the entire year is upon you—and it falls in your zodiac sign, Taurus. While you could find yourself in the spotlight and reaching a major personal or professional goal, there also appears to be some pressure manifesting when it comes to an authority figure, boss, or career project.

GEMINI (MAY 21 – JUNE 20)

It’s time to really watch your health—both physically and mentally, Gemini. This is because the approaching full moon may have you feeling a bit fatigued and under the weather. This will be especially true if you’ve been burning the candle at both ends. Find a bit of serenity if you can.

CANCER (JUNE 21 – JULY 22)

An exhilarating and memorable moment may be upon you very soon due to the upcoming full moon, Cancer. The good news is that it may be such a lovely and delightful event, where you feel celebrated and connected to people who love and adore you. However, there appear to be some frustrations in the back of your mind, especially around finances.

LEO (JULY 23 – AUGUST 22)

The second major lunation in October is just around the corner, Leo, and unfortunately it does require you to roll with the punches. This full moon energizes your professional goals and thrusts you into the spotlight—but the problem is that a partner personally or professionally, a competitor, or the public may not be applauding at this time.

VIRGO (AUGUST 23 – SEPTEMBER 22)

A crunchy full moon is calling out to you, Virgo, but the positive news is that it falls in your same element. This means that you’re a bit more favored than other zodiac signs and should see things work out more so in the end. This lunation is all about adventure, new horizons, and stepping outside of your comfort zone, so consider ways to do so—but cautiously.

LIBRA (SEPTEMBER 23 – OCTOBER 22)

The upcoming full moon is unlikely to be your favorite in 2026, Libra. This is because the planets are at war. This lunation ignites your sector of wealth, which means a large expense could pop up. For instance, you may be funding a major creative endeavor or have to pay for something significant for a lover or one of your children.

SCORPIO (OCTOBER 23 – NOVEMBER 21)

When it comes to relationships, you know that they can be particularly intense, Scorpio. While you often crave true union, you can at times run from it at the first rumblings of trouble. The approaching full moon is focusing on partnerships—in business, personal, or teamwork—and while there could be some positive growth, it appears there’s some rocky energy when it comes to home, family, or domestic concerns. The best thing to do is to try to approach it all with a level head.

SAGITTARIUS (NOVEMBER 22 – DECEMBER 21)

As much as you would prefer to just live life and have fun, the approaching full moon is telling you to buckle down and get to business. As it dances in your sector of productivity, you may be polishing off a big project for work, leaving one job for a new one, or deciding to tackle routines and responsibilities off your lists.

CAPRICORN (DECEMBER 22 – JANUARY 19)

Embrace the power of the approaching full moon, Capricorn. It puts extra emphasis on your heart’s desires—which could link to romance, creativity, hobbies, or recreation—and you may happily find one of these themes fulfilled. However, note that there may be some tension around finances or money at this time, and if that’s the case, try to keep your head on straight.

AQUARIUS (JANUARY 20 – FEBRUARY 18)

Even though you love to be a “free bird,” you still do value your sense of stability that you have built for yourself, Aquarius. The upcoming full moon will have you focusing on home, family, and domestic matters—and you may see progress around one of those areas. However, it also appears you’re putting your foot down and making demands about how you want everything to go.

PISCES (FEBRUARY 19 – MARCH 20)

The upcoming full moon may have you bopping around and traveling, Pisces, and you could be setting out or returning from a journey quite soon. This may be quite delightful, even if it’s just a mini trip to a nearby city or town. However, just be extra cautious, because this lunation is a bit shady and you could run into some challenges or con artists if you put yourself at risk.
