If Your Anxiety Peaks Now, Do This!

At 5:11 a.m.: Mars is inconjunct Chiron

In the morning, Mars in Virgo forms an irritating quincunx to Chiron in Aries, making it nearly impossible for us to feel “settled.” In Virgo, the action-planet Mars likes to have a plan, a strategy to guide its actions. The fear with Virgo Mars is that lacking critical expertise or knowledge will cause us to lose out on our chosen conquest. And with this comes the worse penalty: we’ll be embarrassed!  The last thing we want is to be perceived as lesser, unskilled, or out of our depth. And unfortunately, Chiron in Aries is here to provoke exactly those kinds of insecurities! However, we can’t quite pinpoint the source of this anxiety today. As we go about our daily business, we sense on a phantom level that we are being scrutinized and judged.  This aspect calls us to interrogate our fear of not being “enough.” And when this transit passes, we will see how today’s tests were instructive; how they’ve helped us champion our anxieties, even if in the moment we believed we were handling ourselves in the exact opposite way.

At 10:27 a.m.: The moon is square Neptune, and the moon void of course begins

Later in the morning, the Gemini moon squares off with Neptune in Pisces, perpetuating the day’s confusion. We are already in an emotionally vulnerable place, and this aspect does little to mitigate frustration.  Yet again, we are prevented from getting all the information we need to move forward in a certain undertaking. There are benefits now to pausing and taking stock of our situation. Why are we trying to rush? Why do the stakes seem so high? Have we manufactured urgency for motivation when there’s no real reason for it?  The moon then enters a void period lasting over five hours. Don’t add more to your plate at this time. Finish what you’ve started, or if possible, just chill out.
