In the morning, the moon forms a quincunx to Mars in Capricorn, putting us on edge. Under the Gemini moon, we look to variety, novelty, and stimulation to maintain our emotional equilibrium. We believe the surest way to safety is to arm ourselves with information. Therefore, we may throw ourselves into conversations, experiences, and errands with zeal. The more balls we have in the air, the better we feel. However, during the moon’s clash with Mars, the more we put on our plate, the more our frustration mounts. Far from calming our nerves, we get the creeping sense that failing to concentrate on one long-term goal will lead to our inevitable failure. We might try to solidify a few of our current initiatives, but this will only make us stressed and scattered. Our jumpy and erratic behavior frays our nerves and bewilders our friends. It can also negatively impact our intimate relationships. In our absentmindedness, we might make promises and fail to follow through. This aspect will shortly pass. Try not to sweat the small stuff.
Later on in the morning, the moon sextiles Chiron in Aries, helping us to reconcile insecurities. The Gemini moon allows us to examine past issues from different angles. We are less likely to wallow. We don’t want to stay stuck in a rut. One thing that we will be doing a great deal of today is talking – to friends, to neighbors, to strangers. During lighthearted and well-meaning ramblings, conversations will drift to experiences where we felt inadequate, ones where we suffered wounded pride or embarrassment. These discussions become a form of talk therapy. Others will have strangely relevant advice. And we’ll have just the words they need to hear. Dialogues serve to liberate us from old fears while permitting us to be vulnerable. Through afternoon’s events, we’ll find healing in the knowledge that our struggles are more universal than we assumed. We don’t have to face these challenges alone.
