A New Moon in Pisces

March 2, 2022

At 8:33 a.m.: Mercury is conjunct Saturn

In the morning, Mercury aligns with Saturn in Aquarius, favoring common-sense communication. Mercury was within orb of the cosmic lawgiver in mid-January, but stationed retrograde before they could conjunct.  If we look back to around January 13, we may see that we were just shy of addressing an important issue, or grievances were about to be aired, but these discussions were derailed by circumstance. This is an excellent transit for any work requiring focus, concentration, and discipline. It will be easy to have serious talks without getting distracted.  However, the same influence that provides us with sound judgment here also downplays qualities like empathy. We can come off as critical of others when we’re just trying to tell it like it is. Be mindful not to intellectualize matters that should be spoken from the heart.

At 9:35 a.m.: The moon is conjunct the sun

Following this, the Pisces new moon inspires us to trust our intuition and embrace an idealistic outlook on life. A conjunction with this moon’s traditional ruler, Jupiter, perpetuates feelings of expansiveness and optimism. Luck is on our side now, and luck has nothing to do with a moral imperative.  We don’t need to do anything to earn luck, to be worthy of fortune. We simply must have faith and accept a good thing when we see it. Believe that anything is possible. Believe in your Self. When we set intentions from this headspace, we attract growth opportunities, especially those that foster our artistic or spiritual development. Both of the luminaries also sextile cosmic innovator Uranus, reminding us to keep an open mind and embrace the serendipitous and magical. Growth is not linear, and we should not expect our path to be a straightforward one, but one that shifts, opening portals to the inconceivable.
