Getting Over the Hump

March 12, 2023

At 5:00 a.m.: Vesta is conjunct Chiron

In the morning, Vesta aligns with Chiron in Aries, stimulating shame! No matter how hard we try, no matter how earnestly we devote ourselves to something, we feel as though it’s not good enough. Our energy and effort go into a black hole, and we may even self-sabotage!  The critical piece to remember about Chiron transits is that they are deeply psychological. We assume that others are judging us or looking down upon us, but this is rarely the case. In fact, the exact opposite might be true! Others may deeply respect us, when all the while we are chastising ourselves for failed personal standards! Back up. Attempt to study yourself through unbiased eyes. Why so self-critical?

At 9:24 a.m.: Vesta is conjunct Jupiter

After sun-up, Vesta aligns with Jupiter in Aries, inspiring us to overcompensate. These Vesta aspects are arriving on the heels of yesterday’s Jupiter-Chiron conjunction. We are still subject to this transit’s effects, still in a headspace where self-compassion is necessary for our own healing process. However, in the immediate, we may be throwing everything we have at the wall to see what sticks.  Embracing your connection to source or humanity can be one way to get over this hump. Consider making a spiritual or philosophical idea a part of your mission statement. The message that the universe is trying to send us is this: stop fixating on yourself, and start thinking about the impact you can have on others’ lives!
