Virgo Season Will Close a Chapter You Didn’t See Clearly

August 22, 2026

Virgo season is a checkpoint. You get to look at the last seven months and evaluate what has been happening, and sometimes that’s a shocking reality check. It also gives you the push to see what you can put effort into for the rest of the year.

The sun enters Virgo on August 22. Five days later, we get the total lunar eclipse at 4 degrees Pisces, the last one in the series that started back in September 2024. Two years of the Virgo/Pisces axis teaching the same thing. Both signs are healers. One heals using spiritual insight and a connection to the spirit realm; the other uses their healing talents in the physical material world. The lessons have been about the intangible and the tangible, and coming to an understanding that both can exist at the same time, but you have to know which one is going to be healthy for you in the long run. This eclipse closes the chapter on where you did not see clearly. Say goodbye to the attachments and bonds to people, places, and spaces that don’t serve your highest good, and to chasing an illusion of perfection that doesn’t exist for you.

Mercury sits in the heart of the sun that same day. Clarity and release together, and surrender is the answer to that combination. When you surrender to the energies at play, you leave room for your higher self to allow the things that are supposed to be there for you.

August 31 brings Jupiter in Leo trine Saturn in Aries. I always look at a Jupiter and Saturn aspect as a heads-up about what you have been working on and what you are ready to stand ten toes down in that you have been hesitant about. The vision you have been taking small, tiny actions toward is finally getting the environment to build something of solid structure. Then Mars squares Saturn on September 1. Be patient with other people and be even more patient with yourself, because this one has a way of making you question your kindness and your generosity. Show yourself some grace.

The Virgo new moon on September 10 is an invitation for devotion. The word discipline has never sat well with me. Too harsh. Devotion to your goals, your dreams, your desires gives you life, and this new moon gives you the structure you need to feel good about what you’re devoting yourself to. It can be as simple as changing your routine or trying a new place to eat.

Chiron backs into Aries on September 17 for its last pass through your identity and your self-worth. Have you learned how to take up space? This is the test of whether you really are who you say you are. Let this season hand you the structure, the devotion, and the tangible magic you can carry through the rest of the year.

Aries

Chiron backs into your sign on September 17 for its last pass through your identity, while Virgo season puts the spotlight on your daily routines. Build routines that actually light you up. If you’re unsure whether the identity you’re stepping into is aligned, now is the time to show up how you want to be seen and heard. You get to stand ten toes down in who you are and not look back and not waver.

Taurus

Venus, your ruler, enters her retrograde shadow on August 31 in your work and your health sector, and Virgo season lights up your pleasure sector. What does joy look like for you, and what needs to quietly end so pleasure can come back into your life? Things are going to come up that interrupt your daily work and your health. Your job is to pay attention and remove any blocks, people, and anything getting in the way of you being creative, having pleasure, feeling safe in your home, and getting the rest you need.

Gemini

Your ruler Mercury has its clearest moment of the year on August 27, and Virgo season pulls you home into your family. Speak your truth in your most private relationships, whether that’s romantic, platonic, professional, or with family. Then shine a light on the spaces you’re in and make sure those spaces and those people deserve you. Deserve your intelligence, your insight, your point of view. If they don’t, you might want to remove yourself, or you might have some tough conversations coming.

Cancer

Mars is in your sign all season and squares Saturn on September 1, so the wall shows up in your career. If you feel stuck, get clear about what you want. Virgo season is in your voice, and you can use it to get what you want and desire with the littlest effort possible. But you have to tell the truth about what that thing is. Don’t let this season pass you by without speaking up for yourself.

Leo

Jupiter in your sign trines Saturn on August 31, and your visibility finally gets a foundation, while Virgo season moves the question to your money and your worth. What does all of this mean to you, the visibility, the being seen? Are you being seen for who you truly are, or a version of you that you curate so other people can like you? If that self doesn’t align with your values, you’re going to have trouble turning it into something tangible like money and resources. No more of the days where you’re being seen just to be seen. Figure out what’s worth it to you now.

Virgo

Mercury’s clarity moment on August 27 happens in your sign, and the new moon on September 10 is your personal new year. Devote yourself to the life that puts you first and doesn’t compromise your boundaries in the guise of making other people comfortable. It’s time to rest and retreat, and regroup and assess whether or not the mission you set out on in January is still aligned. Once you figure that out, you can move through the rest of the year knowing exactly who you are, why you exist, and what you want out of your future.

Libra

Your ruler Venus enters her retrograde shadow in your sign on August 31, and Chiron touches your partnership house on September 17. Retreat, and let yourself feel anything you have been blocking yourself from feeling over the last 8 to 12 weeks. Stop telling people you’re fine. Stop telling people it’s not a problem when it actually is. If wounds are starting to resurface around old relationships or old habits, address them instead of ignoring them. Do a personal audit on your relationships before you get to your birthday season, and connect with the people who are really important to you and don’t just take from you.

Scorpio

Jupiter in your career trines Saturn on August 31, and Venus enters your sign on September 18. Virgo season is asking about your friendships. Look around at who’s there, not just when you’re doing well but when you’re not. See which part of your circle is attached to your success and your career, and which part is invested in your daily life and the things nobody sees. If the ones who show up for the wins aren’t there for the boring middle, something has to change in how you move forward. You deserve people around you when you’re succeeding and when you feel like you’re failing.

Sagittarius

Your ruler Jupiter trines Saturn on August 31, and the vision finally gets legs, while Virgo season puts you squarely in your career. Focus on how you’re going to keep going with the unsexy parts of your dreams and desires. What does it actually look like to lean into your creativity, your joy, and your play, while staying true to what you believe in and to your career? Be devoted to the journey and not just to the destinations of success or to having a good story about your accomplishments. Recommit to yourself and to all of the possibilities that are starting to feel pointless.

Capricorn

Your ruler Saturn sits retrograde in your home and family sector, and Chiron joins it on September 17. Virgo season opens up your beliefs. Let go of the stronghold around trying to control every single outcome. Hear the truth about what you thought was real that may not be real anymore, and don’t let a shake-up in your relationships take away your optimism about what you believe is possible for yourself. Let any conflict teach you a little bit more about intimacy, and how intimacy is not something that’s going to take you off your track, but something that can bring you closer to yourself.

Aquarius

Jupiter has been growing your partnerships all year, and Virgo season takes it deeper into your intimacy. Chiron touches your voice on September 17. Let someone see the real you, and understand your mind, how you communicate, and why you struggle at times to feel heard and valued. Be vulnerable with the bonds you have been growing all year, to reinforce for yourself that you are valuable just for existing, and as a reminder that other people find you valuable outside of your knowledge and your innovation. They simply want to be around you.

Pisces

The lunar eclipse on August 27 happens in your sign, and Virgo season sits in your partnerships sector. Virgo is your sister sign, and the sister sign is a mirror. It’s going to show you where you may have fallen short with the practicality of certain areas of your life, especially this month when it comes to partnerships and relationships. What does devotion truly look like without you dissolving into someone else? Can you shine in your relationships on a day-to-day basis without hiding who you are? And are the people you’re surrounding yourself with in alignment with your values and your beliefs? Use this season to get serious about the fantasy you have been creating since March.
