The day before Halloween brings a testy square between Mercury and Mars, making tempers short and communication prone to unnecessary conflict. If you feel provoked by a comment or a situation today, resist responding immediately. This aspect makes it easy to say something sharper than you intend, especially about a decision you haven't fully thought through. Put the phone in another room. Ten minutes is enough. This is not the ideal day for signing contracts, making big commitments, or having a conversation that requires calm diplomacy. Push the paperwork to next week. Sign nothing. If tension arises with someone, consider whether it's worth escalating tonight or whether it can wait until heads are cooler tomorrow. Eat something. Drink some water. Mercury is retrograde, which is one more reason to reread before you send. Give yourself extra patience while navigating errands, plans, or last-minute Halloween preparations, since minor frustrations are more likely to flare into bigger ones than usual right now.
