October 2025 Forecast: Establish Balance and Reconnect with Your Power

September 29, 2025

We begin the month smoothing out frayed ends and establishing a new equilibrium following September’s eclipses. If we honor our intrinsic motivation and express ourselves intentionally, by the end of the month, we’ll be better acquainted with our power, needs, support systems, and responsibilities. October’s laying the groundwork for the future, and with Mercury’s next retrograde looming, ideas that emerge after October 21 may resurface in November.

Venus’ Post-Eclipse Clean Up:

Venus conjoins the south node on October 4, putting our finances, pleasure, and connections under review. We can expect an element of Venusian fatigue—to move forward, we must let something go. Venus is the final planet to traverse Virgo this year (excluding the moon’s monthly visits), tying up loose ends from September’s eclipses.

Mercury in Scorpio:

Mercury enters Scorpio’s brooding waters on October 6, where it prefers not to mince words. During this three-week transit, there’s an intensity to our thoughts and conversations, especially when the planet of communication squares Pluto on October 7 and conjoins Mars on October 19. What we say is consequential; our words can build or destroy. By the end of Mercury’s journey, we’ll see how asserting ourselves and honoring our word can help us form meaningful foundations in our lives.

Full Moon in Aries:

The full moon in Aries on October 6 is a bold culmination, shining light on our drive for self-determination. In this spotlight, something deceptive or triggering may be exposed, but in seeing through it, we see our own strength more clearly. This moment highlights our capability and asks us to tap into unforeseen sources of power within.

Venus’ Boost from Jupiter:

Venus’ sextile to Jupiter on October 8 offers a sweet invitation to revel in our senses, seek out connection, and expand moments that nurture us and our values.

Venus’ Reality Check:

On October 11, Venus forms an opposition to Saturn, and we’re prioritizing accountability in relationships and finances. Recognizing the importance of connections, values, and creative practices means treating them responsibly. Our emotional boundaries are on display, giving us a chance to showcase their strength, while also exposing any cracks in their foundations.

Venus Returns Home:

On October 13, Venus moves into Libra, where it’s comfortable expressing its appeal while cultivating a balanced environment for connection, beauty, and justice to thrive. The outer planets lend complexity to the start of this transit, highlighting the depth and innovative potential in our relationships and fantasies. With Venus ruling the sun and the new moon in Libra, our values are critical—achieving balance can be a matter of measuring everything against the weight of what we truly value.

Pluto is Back in Gear:

Pluto stations direct on October 13 after spending the last five months reviewing systemic dynamics, transformation, and our societal and personal underworlds. Pluto’s station asks us to (individually and collectively) dig deep and meet the moment, helping us feel empowered to move forward.

New Moon in Libra:

The new moon in Libra on October 21 invites us to set fresh intentions. We are initiating some much-needed cohesion in our lives, connecting with the people and values we hold dear, expanding the possibilities of how we can heal through old pain, and finding greater alignment for ourselves. Our voices have power; speak these intentions into reality with confidence.

The Neptune in Pisces Finale:

On October 22, Neptune re-enters Pisces for its final stretch in mutable water, eroding the psychic, spiritual, and emotional boundaries between us and our dreams. Until January of 2026, Neptune invites us to find meaning meandering through the fog and getting lost in the wonder.

Welcome to Scorpio Season:

Scorpio season begins on October 22, and Libra’s balance provides the perfect launchpad for a deep dive. The sun in Scorpio shines a light for us to explore the dark depths both out in the world, and also hiding within ourselves. Scorpio season may be intensified by a square to Pluto and the co-presence of Mars and Mercury. The sun’s journey through fixed water is empowering us to find strength and longevity in an honest reclamation of our power.

New Healing Perspectives:

When Chiron and Jupiter clash on October 23, it may feel like something is picking at a wound related to identity and autonomy. Healing through the pain is the point, and if the old tools aren’t working, explore new options. Jupiter can expand what hurts, but can also expand the soothing balms available to us. This might harken back to conversations that took place around October 1, or an enlightening moment around the 16, when Mercury and the sun activated this building conflict. This transit remains active for the rest of the year—what we’re healing now will remain relevant, so be easy on yourself if you need to keep relearning the same lessons.

Grand Water Trine:

The last week of October holds a key to unlocking the potential of the Jupiter-Saturn trine hanging in the air through the end of 2025. Mercury trines Jupiter and Saturn October 24–25, then Mars does the same October 27 and 29. These trines find alignment between the stories we tell about our goals, the inspired actions we take, and the responsibilities that need our enthusiastic attention. To make the most of this watery and auspicious moment, we must be present with our feelings and aware of our embodied responses.

Mercury in Sagittarius:

On October 29, Mercury enters Sagittarius, where it can overlook the details in favor of grand philosophizing. With the outer planets involved at the start, we are broadening our perspectives, investigating deeply, and confronting the ways we are or aren’t adapting to our ever-changing landscapes. It’s important not to lose ourselves in the story or the excitement as we explore what piques our interest.
